Jason began working professionally with young adults in 2007. Some of his professional experience includes his education at the Utah Valley University in Recreation Managment, working for three years with Aspiro Adventures as a wilderness guide, challenge ropes courses and the past few years as a clinically informed life coach for Pacia Life. His training and expertise include working with almost all forms of neurodiversity including non-verbal learning disorder, high functioning autism, a number of academic learning disorders, social anxieties, and much more. Jason has a gift for helping young adults accept and love themselves for who they are while helping them overcome some specific challenges with executive functioning for life success, social networking, creating a life map based on their strengths, etc.
Jason grew up in the state of Utah in the United States. While living in Brazil, Jason became fluent in speaking Portugues but also gained a love for other people, cultures, global citizenship and the personal growth that comes through cultural immersion.
As a Utah native, Jason grew up with a passion for the great outdoors. Through his adventures of paddling, rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, and many other sports he has come to look forward to the intrinsic values of the outdoors. Jason’s extensive training as a wilderness guide allows him to use adventure sports as means to improve a young adults self-efficacy, grit, and resiliency.
To find the serenity in challenges, adrenaline, and fear is monumental. Through Challenge Courses and outdoor programs, I have worked with big, diverse groups; corporate, therapy, sports teams, school groups, etc. to better the progression and relationship of teams. When somebody asks what has been my favourite adventure or experience; in the back of my mind, I am thinking, the next one!
