Emalie is completing her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Anthropology, Emalie moved to the Philadelphia area where she began working as a Mental Health Technician at an adolescent and child inpatient unit as well as residential unit.
After moving back to the Boston area, Emalie began working in with children, adolescents and their families. Through this experience, she developed the skills need to be an empathic listener and a leader. Emalie has experience working one on one in mentoring to increase self-esteem, independent living skills, social skills and education in well-being. She also has knowledge of family systems, trauma-informed care, and mental health needs. She uses a holistic and individualized approach to target barriers and setting goals.
Emalie feels passionate about helping other's overcome their barriers through self exploration and identity formation, as well as finding self-motivation. For self care, Emalie enjoys going on walks, listening to music, going to the gym, reading, painting, and exploring surrounding cities and towns.
