Eric grew up hiking along the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania and was raised with a passion for outdoor adventure activities, animals, and compassionate living. He received a BA in Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia before finding his professional calling amongst the hills of the Appalachian Trail. After hiking the AT, he began his career in the outdoor healing industry with Outward Bound for At Risk Youth and later worked for several wilderness-based therapy programs specializing in struggling young adults. Eric has over 8 years of experience in therapeutic residential and outpatient settings. He has an MS in Counseling Psychology and is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) in Utah.
Eric uses his passion for life, humor, gratitude, and the natural world to influence his therapeutic philosophy as a strengths-based and person-centered mentor for anyone struggling with the stressors of life’s unexpected challenges. In his free time, Eric enjoys reading good fiction, journaling, rock climbing, skiing, watching movies, and playing outside with his dog. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR), AMGA Single Pitch Climbing Instructor (SPI), Swiftwater Rescue Technician, and Technical Ropes Rescue Technician. He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
